Ulrich Lüttge lehrte bis zum Jahr 2004 als Ordinarius am Institut für Botanik der Technischen Universität Darmstadt. Ulrich Lüttges Arbeitsgruppe beschäftigt sich u.a mit Membranphysiologie und -biochemie, circadianer Rhythmik von Photosyntheseprozessen sowie dem antioxidativen Verteidigungssystem der Pflanze.Joachim W. Kadereit, geb. 1956 in Hannover, studierte Biologie in Hamburg und Cambridge/DK. 1991 wurde er auf einen Lehrstuhl für Botanik an der Universität Mainz berufen. Dort übernahm er die Leitung des Botanischen Gartens.
